Today’s band has a thriving and friendly membership with ages ranging from teenagers to octogenarians. The band is made up of a brass section (trumpets, trombones, horns, tuba and euphonium), woodwind section (clarinets, oboes, flutes, piccolos and saxophones), percussion (drums, timpani and other percussive equipment) and bass guitar.

Our strength and depth gives us the ability to entertain our audiences with a wide variety of music and to provide our players with opportunities to extend their repertoire and skills. The band performs regularly, both indoors and outdoors. Recent engagements include Dalston Festival & Agricultural Show, Armed Forces Day, High Sheriff’s Concert, RAFA Wings Appeal, Direct Rail Services Open Day, Festival Of Remembrance, Citadel Station Open Day and Carols at Carlisle Cathedral.
