The Border Concert Band is an independent community wind band with a current membership of 30 talented amateur musicians drawn from Carlisle, North Cumbria and South West Scotland.
The band (comprising brass, woodwind and percussion) performs to a high standard and offers a varied and wide ranging repertoire including light classical, contemporary pop & rock, music from the stage & screen and military marches.
We have an established year round programme of music including formal evening concerts, outdoor fundraising events, private functions, county agricultural shows, military commemorative events and carol concerts.
If you are considering live music for your event the band is available for hire to perform throughout North Cumbria and South West Scotland and our dedicated, enthusiastic musicians will guarantee you an engaging, foot tapping, crowd pleasing performance!
We rehearse every Thursday from 7.30pm – 9.30pm at our base in St Aidan’s Church, Carlisle.
